Description
At the height of summer the bees are are at their peak and nectar almost pours into the boxes. Beekeepers call this a ‘Flow’. The bees will mix honeys originating from a wide variety of flower and blossom nectars. As beekeepers it becomes hard to say predominantly what flower this honey derives from and so we call it a Wildflower Honey. This comes with benefits though – often this mixed honey provides the best nutritional balance of all honeys.
Colour and taste may vary from jar to jar but it will generally be medium-light gold, runny and well rounded.
Here are the judges’ tasting notes from the 2024 Great Taste Awards:

This is a golden clear and viscous honey with a smooth texture, very floral on the nose and on the palate. It has a complexity of floral and herbaceous flavours that is long-lasting on the palate. It is a well-balanced honey that is adaptable for eating in a variety of ways.
